Throughout my life, I have always grown my own vegetables and herbs. It was relatively easy when I was residing on 107 acres in ethereal Upstate New York or working in a food forest on the Big Island of Hawai’i. At times it was more challenging. When I was living in cities, I found it incredibly difficult to grow my own food on my fire escape in Brooklyn or on my balcony in Los Angeles. The one thing I learned was, no matter where you live, you can always grow something.
You just have to get creative about it.
The recipes shared here are tasty, healthy, and accessible to plant-eaters and meat-eaters alike. I serve these meals to my friends and family and hope you will do the same!
